Article 18: Roof problem: when water gets in

It has been a while since we gave you any news. We had a bit of a headache: a few leaks were found in the roof. Not exactly the ideal time to find that out.

Christophe had to remove the roofing underlay on the north slope of the roof to investigate.

Fortunately, it was more scare than damage. We measured the moisture in the straw, and everything is fine. Nothing to report. The straw stayed dry. It is an important confirmation, and we can close up the roof with peace of mind. Even with potential roof leaks, the straw held up.

Christophe is going to put the underlay and the rafters back. For our part, we are replacing the tile battens.
