Article 4: First shovelfuls: the building site has officially started

On 16 September, the excavator arrives. The building site finally gets going for real. After months of planning and meetings, it is now concrete.

The first works start with stripping the topsoil under the houses. At the same time, we install the two 10-cubic-metre tanks which, once the house is built, will serve as rainwater reserves.

It is impressive to see the landscape change so quickly. The land we had been looking at for months is starting to take the shape of the project. You can feel that we have really passed the point of no return.
